Sainsbury's Ready To Roll Icing - Review

Monday 26 August 2013

I was very curious when Sainsbury's emailed announcing that they had a new range of coloured Ready to Roll Icing and Modelling Paste for sale instore.  I enjoy working with sugarpaste and completed a Sugarcraft Diploma so I was delighted when they sent me some to review.

The icing was easy to work with but not too soft and sticky.  It held up well to being kneaded very thoroughly by my 3 daughters who also found it easy to work with.  The icing also tasted good, not all sugarpaste icings do.

My daughters had a fab afternoon with their Nana decorating cupcakes and cookies.  They thoroughly enjoyed the process and tea party that was had once all the baked goodies had been decorated.

Our conclusions: The icing was good quality, easy to work with and tasted good too.  The colours were vivid and combined well to create other colours.  The range is a reasonable price and I would buy it and use it again.

** Disclosure:  I was sent several packs of Sainsbury's Ready To Roll Icing and a pack of Modelling Paste for review purposes **
